- Use test strips within the valid time (six months after opening).
- Keep your fingers clean, wipe the first blood drop away, and test with the second drop.
- Results from alternative sites may not reflect current blood glucose levels.
- Adjust lancing device depth based on skin thickness.
- Apply blood to the strip when the meter displays a flashing blood symbol.
- Press the lancing device firmly to the finger and lance.
- After the 10s countdown, view the test result.
- Eject the strip and remove the lancets.
